Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal data — and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: 19 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used and protected across Tutor T’s Tuition — our website (tutortstuition.com) and our online learning platform, T-Board (app.tutortstuition.com). We handle your data in line with UK data protection law: the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Tutor T’s Tuition is a sole trader business: Tomi Adepegba trading as Tutor T’s Tuition. We are the “data controller” responsible for your personal data.

For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at the email above.

The data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Enquiry and contact details — when you email us, message us on WhatsApp, or book a free taster session, we collect your name, contact details and anything you choose to tell us about your tutoring needs.
  • Booking information — bookings are handled through Cal.com; when you book, you provide your name, email and appointment details.
  • Payment information — lesson payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details; Stripe handles them securely as our payment processor.
  • Learning platform accounts (T-Board) — when a student signs in to T-Board using their Google or Microsoft account, we receive basic profile information from that provider: name, email address and profile picture. We use this only to create and secure the student’s account.
  • Lesson data — to teach and track progress, T-Board stores lesson-related information such as schedules, lesson notes, whiteboard work, shared files and messages between tutor and student.
  • Technical data — our sites are served through Cloudflare, which processes limited technical information (such as IP address) to deliver and secure them.

Signing in with Google and Microsoft

We offer sign-in with Google and with Microsoft so students can access T-Board securely without managing a separate password.

  • We request access only to your basic profile: your name, email address and profile picture.
  • We use this information solely to authenticate you and manage your T-Board account.
  • We do not access, read or store your emails, contacts, calendar, files or any other data from your Google or Microsoft account.

Tutor T’s Tuition’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We use personal data to:

  • respond to enquiries and arrange lessons (to take steps at your request and to perform our contract with you);
  • deliver and improve tutoring, including through T-Board (contract, and our legitimate interest in providing an effective service);
  • take payment for lessons (contract);
  • keep our services secure and prevent misuse (legitimate interests);
  • meet our legal and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Children’s data

Many of our students are under 18. Where a student is a child, we ask that a parent or guardian arranges the tutoring and provides consent, and a parent or guardian may exercise the student’s data rights on their behalf. We collect only the information we need to teach the student and support their progress. If you believe a child’s data has been shared with us without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will put it right.

Who we share data with

We share data only with trusted service providers (“processors”) who help us run our service, under agreements that require them to protect your data:

  • Google and Microsoft — sign-in and authentication.
  • Supabase — secure hosting of the T-Board platform, accounts and lesson data (hosted in the EU).
  • Cal.com — booking of consultations and lessons.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Cloudflare — website and platform hosting, security and DNS.
  • Resend — sending service emails (such as booking or account emails).

We may also disclose data where we are required to by law.

International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as UK adequacy regulations or Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum — to keep your data protected to UK standards.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above — for example, for the duration of the tutoring relationship and a reasonable period afterwards, and longer where we must keep records for legal or accounting reasons. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Cookies

Our marketing website is a static site and does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The T-Board platform uses essential cookies and similar technologies needed to keep you signed in and to run the service. Embedded tools such as the Cal.com booking widget are provided by third parties who operate under their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to how we use it; to data portability; and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these, email us at tomiade@tutortstuition.com.

You also have the right to complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk — though we’d appreciate the chance to help first.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls on the T-Board platform. No system is ever completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
