About us

Two tutors, one commitment to your success

We are a brother-and-sister team, and we bring the same patience, curiosity and care to every lesson.

We are a brother and sister who started out tutoring one student at a time, and fell in love with the work. What began as a part-time endeavour grew into a thriving practice after the first families we helped saw real results. Today the two of us teach Maths and Science across KS3, GCSE and A-Level — online, and to students around the world.

We believe good tutoring is less about talking and more about listening. Every student arrives from a different background, with different strengths and different worries. Our job is to meet each one where they are and build a route forward that actually fits them.

I hold a BSc in Physics and Astrophysics from the University of Sheffield — a Russell Group university — and a Master’s in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence. I began tutoring in 2017, in my second year of university, and have kept at it ever since. I also spent over two years working in a UK college, teaching students from Year 7 all the way up to sixth form — an experience I loved and learned an enormous amount from. It stretched me as a teacher and gave me the confidence to really take teaching in my own direction, and to help students further by building the platform I now use in every lesson.

I am also a software developer. Alongside completing my Computer Science Master’s, I designed and built everything you see here on this website — including T-Board, our AI-assisted learning platform: the collaborative whiteboard and online classroom your child learns in. So when you book with me, you are working directly with the person who built the platform, not only the tutor teaching on it.

I specialise in Maths and Science, and I love breaking big ideas down into simple, connected pieces. Physics, chemistry and biology are not really separate subjects to me; the maths and the patterns underneath them tie everything together, and that is usually where things click for students.

Outside of teaching, I am a lover of music and movement: I love learning flips in gymnastics, playing the guitar and writing lyrics — a reminder that real progress comes from patience and steady practice.

Maths, Science & Engineering Specialist

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a year in industry from the University of Nottingham. I began tutoring around three years ago, during my university years — my brother Tomi, already a tutor himself, encouraged me to start and helped me find my feet. I have kept it up alongside my engineering career ever since, working closely with students to build confidence in their core subjects. As part of the team here at Tutor T’s Tuition, I bring that practical, real-world industry experience directly into our online lessons.

I focus on GCSE Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Engineering, and I teach Maths and Science at KS3. My approach is centred on showing students how these subjects connect to the real world. Because of my engineering background, I see how maths and science function practically every day, and sharing those real-world examples is usually what makes tricky concepts finally click for students.

Outside of our online classroom, I stay active by running and keeping fit in the gym, and I love playing chess and travelling. I also play the piano, which reminds me every day that mastering any difficult skill simply takes patience, steady practice and consistency.

Qualified, and in the field

Our subjects aren't abstract to us. We studied them at university and use them in the real world — and that's what we bring into every lesson.

How we work

How do you tailor lessons to each student?

No two students learn the same way, so we never teach them the same way. We start by listening — understanding where a student is, what they find hard, and how they like to learn. From there we choose the words, examples and pace that work for them, and we keep adjusting as we go. A way of explaining an idea that lands perfectly for one student may not for another, and years of experience have taught us to spot the difference and adapt.

What do you think makes a good tutor?

Strong subject knowledge and genuine curiosity matter, but above all we believe a good tutor listens. Not half-hearted listening, or listening just to reply, but listening to truly understand the student in front of you. Every student is unique — from different backgrounds, cultures and starting points — and none can be helped well until you know where they are starting from.

Which subjects and levels do you cover?

We teach Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology from KS3 through GCSE and iGCSE to A-Level. Maths is the subject we are asked for most, often alongside one or more of the sciences. If you are unsure whether we cover what you need, just ask.

How do online lessons work?

Lessons run online over a shared whiteboard, so the student and tutor can write, draw and work through problems together in real time — just as they would side by side at a desk. All you need is a laptop or tablet and a stable internet connection. Online means we can work with families anywhere in the country, at times that fit around school.

Are lessons one-to-one?

Yes — every lesson is one-to-one. It is just your child and their tutor, with our full attention and a plan built entirely around them. A dedicated one-to-one session is, in our experience, the fastest route to real progress.
